The San Francisco 49ers have added one of the most accomplished wide receivers of the modern era, signing veteran wideout Mike Evans to a three-year deal.
Evans spent the first 12 seasons of his NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Over more than a decade in Tampa Bay, Evans established himself as one of the league's most consistent and productive receivers, rewriting Tampa Bay's franchise record books and becoming one of the most accomplished wide receivers in NFL history.
Here's a look back at some of the most notable milestones and records from his career:
- Evans recorded 11 consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons to begin his career, tied with 49ers legend Jerry Rice for the most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in NFL history.
- Over 12 NFL seasons, Evans has totaled 866 receptions for 13,052 receiving yards, and 108 touchdowns.
- His 108 receiving touchdowns rank 10th in NFL history.
- Evans is one of just 10 players in NFL history with 13,000-plus receiving yards and 100 receiving touchdowns, joining Hall of Famers Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Cris Carter, Tony Gonzalez, Marvin Harrison Sr., Steve Largent, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, and Larry Fitzgerald.
- Evans holds the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise records for receptions (866), receiving yards (13,052), touchdown receptions (108), total touchdowns (109), yards from scrimmage (13,062), and 100-yard receiving games (39).
- In the postseason, Evans ranks first in Buccaneers history in receptions (52), receiving yards (801), and touchdown receptions (six), while also recording four 100-yard playoff performances.
- Evans is a six-time Pro Bowl selection and a two-time Associated Press Second-Team All-Pro.
- During the 2020 season, Evans helped lead Tampa Bay to a victory in Super Bowl LV, earning the first Super Bowl championship of his career.
